GOD’S FAITHFULNESS: My resting place

How many of you at any one point in your life have you been restless? I have and I always say to people, it is not an enjoyable state to be in. More so, if you have already known and tasted REST. When we are tired, we rest. When a brother or sister in Christ goes to be with the Lord, we say, may they rest in peace. This means therefore that REST must be a very important element of a person’s life. You see, when you are restless, do you realise that your mind, body and soul cannot function normally? My mind will feel overweighed and my body will suddenly feel heavy and my soul will be “all over the place”.    Someone might ask, how then do we get to a position of restlessness? Before we answer that, we must remember that along with restlessness, comes anxiety. We become anxious when we feel as though we can’t control what is happening around us.
