Not my house but His House

Recently the Lord led me to a Kingdom Mission that I will admit has never been a familiar scene in my Christian Journey. However that's the thing with God. He gives us new missions to stretch us out of our comfort zones. The mission God gave me is a story for another day but today I want to speak about Houses. No, don't get me wrong, I am not in the construction industry neither in Real Estate. The kind of House I am talking about is a different one. The kind of House you allow God to build for you.

In Psalms 127:1 David says that, 'Unless the LORD builds the house, it's builders build in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. In 2nd Samuel 7, we see God promising David to build him a house for His Name. This promise overwhelms David and he makes a prayer to God thanking Him for the favor He shows him and asking Him to fulfill what He promised so that His Name may remain great forever. Imagine that, God building a house for you. How amazing that would be right? In verse 29 of the same chapter the Bible says, 'Now be pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever in your sight, for you, Oh Sovereign LORD have spoken and with your blessing the house of your servant will be blessed forever.'

Now in case you are wondering where I am getting with this, I will explain. You see, God Himself had His presence included in the establishment of this House, meaning that the builders would not build it in vain. God had set His Name upon the establishment of that House meaning that it would stand, and stand firm. I hope you are still with me. When the Lord sets you out to begin something, be it venturing into ministry or business, or starting a course in school, or new career path, anything basically, if He Himself has sent you out, He will see to it that Glory goes back to Him meaning that He will give you a firm and permanent establishment.

So now, if the LORD has sent you out to establish a 'House' be confident in Him that He will bring it to full realization and completion for His Name Sake.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY
