Do not fret

Praise Jesus! Praise be to the Most High God. Defender of the weak, Strength to the downcast, Deliverer of the Lost, Restorer of the Broken-hearted. Praise be to His Holy Name. The Name of Might and power, healing and grace.

I am part of a Bible Study and one of my friends raised the issue of how she is disturbed when people who do evil prosper in wealth. We were studying the book of Habakkuk and we saw God assuring Habakkuk that it was only a matter of time before all those who are proud in verse 5 of chapter 1, received their punishment, "Look at the nations and watch and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your day that you would not believe, even if you were told."

At this moment the Lord led me to a scripture in Psalms 37, I will include it here for all of you to read it, particularly verse 1 - 7
Do not fret because of those who are evil
    or be envious of those who do wrong;
for like the grass they will soon wither,
    like green plants they will soon die away.
Trust in the Lord and do good;
    dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Take delight in the Lord,
    and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord;
    trust in him and he will do this:
He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
    your vindication like the noonday sun.
Be still before the Lord
    and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
    when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
    do not fret—it leads only to evil.

Here we learn  that God is aware of all that we experience. He is aware of what we feel, I mean He created us! I know that many believers have found themselves asking these questions, like, how can they be working so hard, be faithful to God and yet, the evil prosper? Today, the Lord led me to remind you that our duty is to Trust in Him and Do good, as in verse 3. If we fret(worry, anxiety) then we are only inviting evil as in verse 8. The Lord says that if we Delight ourselves in Him, then He will fulfill the desires of our hearts. Perhaps you feel like you have to really "work hard" to have your desires fulfilled but compared to those who do evil, you the believer  need not "work hard" , yours is simple, PLEASE GOD GREATLY, TRUST GOD COMPLETELY, DO GOOD WHOLE-HEARTEDLY, BE JUST. Think about it, imagine you have God to depend on but where does he/she who does evil draw strength? He/ she will burn out eventually/

I am not here to discuss about what you think you deserve, no, I am here to remind you that you need to  PLEASE GOD GREATLY, TRUST GOD COMPLETELY, DO GOOD WHOLE-HEARTEDLY, BE JUST and let God deal with those who do evil. KEEP THE FOCUS! FIX YOUR EYES ON JESUS. GOD IS YOUR SUPPLIER ALWAYS!

GOD ABOVE, GOD ALL AROUND US1
