God of one

Praise God!

I don't know about you but I have realised that God just needs one person to accomplish His promise. Today at church, the pastor read to us from Genesis, the story about Abraham. It dawned on me then that God told Abraham that he would be a father of nations but He gave him just one son.ONE. Through this one,  God was planning to fulfill His promise. So here is Abraham,  excited about God's promise of being a father of nations and God gives him one. Abraham had every reason to doubt but unlike most of us,  He believed that God had a great plan which  He would accomplish. Abraham was excited and thankful that God had fulfilled the promise of a son that he had no time to start wondering how one son could become nations. 

What is the one that God has given you?  Has God placed a ministry in you and you are wondering how it is going to grow into what God has shown you? Did you want to speak before nations but at the moment you are leading a Bible study of 5? You know what,  be thankful and excited that God is unveiling something, that the full fulfilment of the promise is yet to manifest. But it has began. With that one Bible Study Group,  if it is a job,  with that salary that seems little now,  whatever it is,  God knows,  He is working. 

Pray that God opens your eyes go see what 'one' He has given you. Be thankful and trust. 
God needed ONE person to save the world from sin,  ONE young shepherd to be king over Israel, ONE man to save the world from the flood. What 'ONE' do you have?

Downcast but not destroyed: Part 2

As soon as I got the Paybill number, we created a Poster to help raise the hospital bill. I believe God's angels were very busy during this time since different people  gave, even people who are not familiar with our family. My sister and I constantly shared the poster on our WhatsApp status and friends would send any amount which we highly appreciated. Our extended family also helped fundraise and by God's Grace, we were about to realize the amount. The hospital needed us to raise 263,000 in a week, to offset the bill. God's favour was upon us because during this week, the hospital said they would freeze dad's account and only charge him for meds (God had done a great thing) Back at home people continued to give and by the following week, on Wednesday 1st April, we had raised around 127,000.
