Why do I feel like this?

Praise God!

Have you ever been in a season where you feel confused and most things seem quite unclear. If you are a believer, or non-believer alike, this could easily cause anxiety and a form of worry. Well I have been in such a place where things seem to be quite unclear and what is sad about this is that instead of talking to God about it, I was seeking answers from within myself. I will tell you this for free, don't make the mistake of trying to find the answers within because you are only opening another array of problems. Why do I say this? You see when you begin seeking answers from within you, you who by yourself have no power to change anything, you begin looking at everything within you that is a problem and end up even more discouraged than you were before. What am I saying? Good question. For example if you give your best to perform a certain task but still get an answer of not good enough, you have two options, to "look within yourself" and start saying perhaps you aren't good enough or going to your Father, our Lord and pouring your heart out. You see God is always ready to take us in when we surrender to Him but when we want to figure out things on our own, we fail TERRIBLY.

Someone once told me that when you don't seem to hear God's voice, go back to the last thing God told you to do. This could be new to someone who has not yet believed in the Lord Jesus Christ because the spirit within that person doesn't allow him/her to comprehend but all hope is not lost, we serve a faithful God who is waiting to bring you into His kingdom which He pre-destined you to be sons. Just surrender and He will take you in, He loves you. How does this tie to my message of confusion? Well, you see, we serve a God of order and clarity and this means that there is nothing He will do that should bring confusion for the person who fellowships with Him. When we are not sure, He expects us to Trust Him because His ways are perfect, His thoughts far from our thoughts and His Promises are YES and Amen!

So what do I do, I feel confused. When I recently felt this way, a friend of mine told me to go before God and pour out my heart and just let Him minister to me through our helper, the Holy Spirit. The Lord began by rebuking me in love concerning my sin of doubting Him because the Bible says, ...and without faith, we cannot please God. I repented and asked for His forgiveness. God being God, He led me to a scripture that talks about His promises over my life, cautioning me to forget the former things because He is doing a new thing yet confirming that I needed to remain in Him. Here the Lord assured me that He always has me in His mind. The Lord being gracious and compassionate led me to scripture where He speaks about how He had engraved my name in the palm of His hand and how He will never forget me. The scriptures that followed had messages on victory, answered prayer, a sign from God, restoration, purpose, the tongue, wisdom, he mind, courage and open doors.

I will share one of the verses that really ministered to me and that is Romans 8:6 that speaks about the mind controlled by man and the mind controlled by the Spirit. The Bible says, "The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace." This verse prompted me to think about who I was allowing to control my mind, God or myself. You see when we control our minds, as I mentioned earlier, only death comes to us. Death means absence of life, ever felt dead but you are alive? Perhaps this could be the reason. You see, when we lack peace or feel confused, it means we are trying to figure things out on our own. When God revealed this Divine Word, peace was restored upon me. Today, let the Lord govern your mind and focus on Him even when it is most difficult. He knows best, He knows best
