Dare to be

I have come a long way from the person I used to be. I loved pleasing people and I always wanted to be in people's good books. What I realize now is that, I was deceiving myself, the people I was pleasing and most importantly, I was not allowing God to define me.

I don't want to be the kind of person who lives through life. I want to enjoy every bit of it while working the purpose that God gave me. I would like to travel the world and see all of God's wonderful creation. I would like to enjoy the simplicity of life while impacting others for generations to come.

It has and still is a journey of opening up to the person I really am. In the midst of this, I thank Jesus Christ for sticking by me all this time. I have chosen to live fully in the person God created me to be and I know that eventually everything else will align.

So here's to speaking out, living fully and being/becoming the best version God created me to be. I know that this will come with many changes in my life but my comfort is knowing God will be holding my hand.

I challenge the person reading this to look intrinsically and determine if you are living the full life you would like or you're living to please people at the expense of your happiness.

I AM VALUABLE ~ I AM LOVED

Downcast but not destroyed: Part 2

As soon as I got the Paybill number, we created a Poster to help raise the hospital bill. I believe God's angels were very busy during this time since different people  gave, even people who are not familiar with our family. My sister and I constantly shared the poster on our WhatsApp status and friends would send any amount which we highly appreciated. Our extended family also helped fundraise and by God's Grace, we were about to realize the amount. The hospital needed us to raise 263,000 in a week, to offset the bill. God's favour was upon us because during this week, the hospital said they would freeze dad's account and only charge him for meds (God had done a great thing) Back at home people continued to give and by the following week, on Wednesday 1st April, we had raised around 127,000.
