Do not fret

Image
Praise Jesus! Praise be to the Most High God. Defender of the weak, Strength to the downcast, Deliverer of the Lost, Restorer of the Broken-hearted. Praise be to His Holy Name. The Name of Might and power, healing and grace. I am part of a Bible Study and one of my friends raised the issue of how she is disturbed when people who do evil prosper in wealth. We were studying the book of Habakkuk and we saw God assuring Habakkuk that it was only a matter of time before all those who are proud in verse 5 of chapter 1, received their punishment, " Look at the nations and watch and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your day that you would not believe, even if you were told." At this moment the Lord led me to a scripture in Psalms 37, I will include it here for all of you to read it, particularly verse 1 - 7 1  Do not fret because of those who are evil      or be envious of those who do wrong; 2  for like the grass they will soon with...

On this Day

Image
On this day, 2 years ago I experienced a shift of mindset, I received a shift of direction, I received Jesus. I always thought I was doing good by just attending church on most Sundays and trying my best not to anger anyone, Haha , I laugh now because I couldn’t have been more wrong about something. I had this notion in life that I was on the right track but of course that was the enemy’s way of ensuring that I didn’t see the need to have Jesus in my life. Being brought up by Christian parents, I convinced myself that automatically gave me a ‘gateway’ to the Kingdom of God. More often times than not, during every altar call in church, I felt a conviction to raise my hand or recite the prayer BUT no, I told myself that I wasn’t ready (we never are). I would convince myself that I first had to follow all of God’s commands then consider getting into His Kingdom. I could say that I misled myself. On a Sunday morning. 7 th June 2015, my heart was heavy and desired peace, ...

Not my house but His House

Image
Recently the Lord led me to a Kingdom Mission that I will admit has never been a familiar scene in my Christian Journey. However that's the thing with God. He gives us new missions to stretch us out of our comfort zones. The mission God gave me is a story for another day but today I want to speak about Houses. No, don't get me wrong, I am not in the construction industry neither in Real Estate. The kind of House I am talking about is a different one. The kind of House you allow God to build for you. In Psalms 127:1 David says that, 'Unless the LORD builds the house, it's builders build in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. In 2nd Samuel 7, we see God promising David to build him a house for His Name. This promise overwhelms David and he makes a prayer to God thanking Him for the favor He shows him and asking Him to fulfill what He promised so that His Name may remain great forever. Imagine that, God building a house for ...

SALT AND LIGHT

Praise Jesus! I remember when I was a kid, our parents organized Sunday prayers where we'd fellowship together. I used to look forward to Sunday Afternoons because that meant that one, I would have some cakes from my aunt place and two, we (my cousins and I) would perform  a song or skit in front of our parents and get an applaud. See I was very young then to understand fully what they preached to us but one thing for certain it was quite beneficial. During these fellowships that we called  "Mahoya", everyone would tell on the other haha saying that, oh, my sister abused me this, or my brother did this to me and then our parents would caution us against bad behaviour. Oh, how I miss those days. This reminds me of the word that says, "Train up a child in the way he should go and he will not depart from it." Here I am now, spreading the word that I was trained on. Today, my focus is on a particular scripture, Matthew 5:13-16, which my uncle used to ...

He became Man, He Suffered, He Trusted

Image
Have you ever thought of the common line, 'I would die for you'? I believe and I stand corrected most people who actually say this, don't mean it. Caught up in the spur of the moment maybe, one would be prompted to say this just to prove how much affection they have towards the other party. Today I want to talk about a man who did actually die for someone, not one person, but the entire world. Yes, you are thinking right, this man is Jesus. You see, the world was so rooted in sin that out of the love God had and still has for the world He sent His only Son to die on the cross for our sins that we may be atoned for, that we may not be condemned (Romans 8:1) that we may be saved (John 3:17) . My focus today being on how it was important that Jesus, being God Himself (Philippians 2:6) become man so that we could have the privilege of being re-united back to God. You see, Jesus Christ as described in Hebrews 1 is the radiance of God's Glory and the exact rep...

MY TESTIMONY (PART 1)

Image
A TESTIMONY ABOUT A PHONE John 9: 11, “He replied, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and pit it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed and then I could see.” A man who had been born blind had received healing from Jesus and people couldn’t recognize him because he had been healed, he was different, he could see, something was unfamiliar about him. He told them that indeed he was still the man they knew but the fact that he had received a miracle, a transformation, a change, they couldn’t recognize him. He had encountered Jesus’ power. When asked how he had received sight he replied as in John 9: 11 (shared above). He gave his testimony. He spoke of this man, Jesus who had healed him.                           Today, I want to speak of the great power of Jesus I have experienced. In 2015, I had my first experience of phone mugging and I will tell you it is quite a scare....

TIME (PART 2)

Image
Over the weekend I was privileged to attend a Revival Tour at CITAM Valley Road courtesy of Cornelius and Heather Lindsey (You can google this amazing couple). The Word of the day was passed to us by one, Heather Lindsey and her preaching was based on Genesis 9, where we see Noah being instructed by God to build an ark.Now you see, Noah was an old man who found favour in God's eyes and God instructed him to build an ark since a flood was coming. In those days you see, there had never been floods but God was so displeased with the sins of the people of the earth He decided to wipe the earth out with floods. God had the powers to cause an ark to miraculously appear without having to give Noah instructions on how to build it. We see an obedient Noah who did not complain but rather built the ark with the exact specifications that God had told him. Seeing that it was a big ark, it sure took a whole lot of time time to build and I am sure at times Noah would get weary (we all ...

Fruit not Fruits

Image
Hello! I hope that the Good Lord has kept you well, in Jesus Name! What's your favourite fruit? Well mine is mango and banana oh and pineapples...haha I will admit I still haven't settled on one of them. You know, fruits have always been a part of humans ever since creation (Genesis 1:11-13) and God generously gave man these fruits for food (Genesis 1: 29). I can confidently say that God's mind is so sovereign because He created each fruit so uniquely to nourish our bodies. Need I mention the variety of colours that fruits come with, nothing but pure beauty. Now I know we have gone through the benefits of fruits I think ever since primary school(academy for some of you) and the most common being their ability to give our bodies vitamins. I will admit this to you, as I write this post I am not even sure where it is heading ( don't worry I promise you it is a good place,) but slowly the ideas are cropping up from my mind just like that, scratch that, not ...

TIME (PART 1)

Image
A POST ABOUT TIME God's TIME, A stitch in TIME saves nine, TIME is of the essence, TIME waits for no man,It is TIME, TIME is money...All these are common phrases that we use almost daily in our lives. When we attend motivational talks, I am pretty sure the speaker doesn't end the talk without the mention of TIME, talking about how success takes TIME to achieve, how you ought to manage your TIME. Well, I am sure you have attended one of this and already know what I am talking about.  Today, I want to speak about TIME in a Biblical perspective. On this day, I took a few shots of the watch on my wrist(a gift) and at first they were meant to just be great shots of my watch (well we all take those sometimes). Little did I know that taking those shots opened up a whole new concept, a whole new dimension of thought. God actually opened up my brain, my eyes and I started seeing things differently. Now I know we all have heard preachers talk about God's TIMI...
